I had the pleasure to get to work again with Laura from Lark Photography to capture Annalisa and Eric’s wedding day. Annalisa had such an elegant, classy, timeless style that radiated throughout the wedding. Seeing her and Eric together had to bring a smile to your face, it was evident that they were excited to be starting their married life together.  The ceremony took place at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Independence and the reception was at the gorgeous Hilton President Kansas City Hotel.

Mike: This looks like a very fancy wedding, too bad I couldn't make it... Thanks for sharing the photos!

admin: It was fancy, the details were exquisite. I would have enjoyed working with you again. How are your weddings going? It looks like you are staying pretty busy.

Kelly {senior session}

July 26, 2010

My session with Kelly was very interesting. The forecast called for a 20% chance of rain not long before I left the house to meet her and her Mom. While driving there the clouds seemed to darken the sky but it still appeared that they were south of where we were to meet. But about ten minutes into our session it started sprinkling. We headed to the closest shelter and not long after it started to pour. People were coming in from all over the park. There were men with drums, belly dancers, and kids running around drenched from the rain. It seemed very surreal. The beating from the drums was so loud that I had trouble hearing my own voice. Kelly seemed to be taking it all in stride, she mentioned several times that parts of the evening seemed like they were scenes from a movie. With the overcast sky Kelly skin radiated  and you could see the many colors in her hazel eyes. Kelly was such a fun and easy going girl, I wish her the best as she goes off to start school in the fall.

Chelsey {senior session}

July 20, 2010

Chelsey is a beautiful girl from California, with such a sweet bubbly personality. We were not sure we were going to be able to make it work with the threat of rain and Chelsea being diagnosed with strep the day before. But she rocked it!

Sarah and Lane {married}

July 12, 2010

I was honored to be able to be a part of Sarah and Lane’s wedding day. The little details were perfect, you cannot get any better than blue and peacock feathers. There was a little bit of vintage, whimsy and pops of color. They were such an easy-going fun couple, I think everyone involved had a great time.

Thank you to Laura from Lark Photography for allowing me to work with you, you are amazing!  s1

I love this series. Sarah and her mom are very close and this was the last few minutes they shared before Sarah walked down the aisle to meet her future husband, Lane. s4

Bob and Donna {married}

July 12, 2010

Bob and Donna were married in an intimate ceremony at Piropos in Parkville. She looked radiant in her tea length mulit-tiered dress. I love being able to witness the sharing of a couples’ love and commitment in front of their family and friends.

I was fortunate to be able to work with the talented and very gracious Jenae from IMIJFOTO. You should check her out, her work is phenomenal. Thanks Jenae for the opportunity to work with you! b4
