It wasn’t that long ago that I came to photograph Jegan’s newborn pictures. She has grown up so much in the past few months and was fascinated by the camera. Her big sister and brother, Jamison and Jett, were cracking me up. They has so many different facial expressions.

This was the other session from that cold Saturday. We braved the cold for awhile and then decided to go back to their house to thaw and get a few more images. It is always fun going back to my alma mater and photographing old friends. The ‘M Famiy’ is so much fun to work with and they have such an adorable little girl!!    

Rachel and I were roommates in college, I had three session in one weekend with old friends from school –it was quite the reunion. We spent the morning on the quad at the Mizzou campus.

The members of the K family were such troopers, the forecast had called for rain so we pushed the session to earlier in the day. At the time these pictures were taken it was in the thirties, but you wouldn’t guess that from how comfortable they looked. Plus Ayla kept me running pretending we were shopping/looking for Target. I love this age, such an imagination and full of fun.   

The last time I met with the “M” family was for Trevor’s one year pictures. Since that time our roles have been reversed. It was the last session I did before Gavin’s birth. I was pretty pregnant and uncomfortable. Now Carolyn is in her last trimester, but she is doing it with such grace, keeping up with Trevor while still looking great.  With the news of their baby being a little girl I am sure there are going to be a lot of changes around the house. 

The love that this family has for their newest member is so special, she is simply adored by her big brother and sister. It is always encouraging to photograph the love of a tight knit family.
