Benjamin {newborn}

August 23, 2010

Benjamin was almost a month old by the time he had his session and he made his parents work hard for some sleepy shots. He was adorable with big, beautiful eyes. He looked like he was taking it all in with those soulful looks.  be10 be6

He almost looked like he was stretching.  be2

I have been anxiously waiting for everyone to get her birth announcements before posting any of her pictures on here–my newest little niece Jocelyn Lillie has made her arrival. Charlotte has been a great big sister. I may be biased but I think the girls are  adorable!!

Emma Mae {newborn}

April 30, 2010

Our dear friends Lyndsey and Jesse recently welcomed home their baby girl–Emma Mae. She was almost three weeks when these pictures were taken and boy she was a feisty one :).   emma4

I just love these last two. Towards the end of the session her grandma brought out the baby blanket that she had used when she was a baby. Thinking about having her first granddaughter cuddling with the same fabric that touched her skin years ago is so touching to me. emma3

And look at those creases and folds, one of my favorite things about newborns is touching those soft delicate feet. emma1

Congratulations on your baby girl, I look forward to being a part of her life and watching her grow up to become a little lady.

The love that this family has for their newest member is so special, she is simply adored by her big brother and sister. It is always encouraging to photograph the love of a tight knit family.

Baby Delaney {newborn}

October 6, 2009

 When Melissa contacted me this summer to see if I would be available to take  pictures of her soon-to-be born baby girl I was thrilled. I had taken pictures of her son Mason earlier in the summer for his one year pictures. Melissa was set to deliver right around when I was planning on starting up again, it could not have worked out better. She wanted to capture the early moments, while they were still at the hospital. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was how big Mason had gotten. He was barely walking when I had seen him over the summer  and here he was running and climbing everywhere! Baby Delany was so sweet and delicate, I loved hearing those newborn sounds, I even enjoyed hearing her soft cry.

It is such a joy to be able to form new friendships and to get to see families grow and change. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of that special time.
