Dailyn {newborn}

April 22, 2011

 The weekend we were packing up our house my sister-in-law Sarah made an impromptu visit to introduce us to our newest precious niece, Dailyn. We also got to spend some time with her big sisters, Caitlin and Emma. We were so thankful to spend that time with her and have a little photo session. Thanks for being so patient with me so I could unpack the computer and get to editing. We love you guys and can not wait until our next visit!!

 When Allisyn contacted me to do a three month session with her sweet baby Leighton, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with their family again. I knew I would be cutting it close to when we would move, but everything worked out beautifully. About a week before our scheduled sessionn there were a couple of warm days among the almost freezing temperatures. We were able to push up the session and utilize the beautiful weather because Allisyn’s maternity leave was extended a few days.

They had just been given this toy box that was hand made by Allisyn’s uncle. I love incorporating something meaningful into a session. It was so beautifully done. w0321_0480-edit

We are heading out to our new home tomorrow evening…I should be packing :).

I met the most amazing couple for an anniversary session. They are the kind of people that make you feel like you have known them for a long time. Really, I have the most amazing clients.

This was a session that almost didn’t happen. That afternoon was the first time I forgot to bring my cell phone to a session. Five minutes past when we were supposed to meet I wanted to touch base with Cipporah to make sure they weren’t lost. I asked information about a public phone–I didn’t realize that Union Station does not have any pay phones. There was a great security guard there that offered to let me make a local call. Cipporah’s cell was long distance so I called home to get my husband Ben to call her. Wouldn’t you know that she forgot her phone too. Anyway we eventually reached one another (we were waiting at different information booths) and the session was on. Then Cipporah revealed that she had been sick with food poisoning. You couldn’t tell anything was wrong she and Jaret were naturals in front of the camera.

Sorry it has been a little quiet around here. We have quite a few changes coming up. In addition to expecting our fourth child we are also planning on moving to central Kansas in the next couple of weeks. I have recently limited taking on sessions with the upcoming move but I have two more to post before moving. I want to sincerely thank you for the support and friendship over the past couple of years. I am truly grateful to know all of you. Although, I am unsure what the future holds with my business I will keep you all posted. I also plan on updating the blog from time to time to let you know what we are up to. Thanks again!!

I took these pictures of my sister-in-law, Liz, and her family awhile ago but was waiting until after the holidays to post them. I may be partial but I think I have some cute nieces. I love that we have been able to spend as much time as we have watching their family grow. We love you guys!
